AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent Art Nouveau lamp!
Curved wrought-iron lamp base
The lamp base features a vegetal motif (ivy leaves and a grape cluster typical of the Art Nouveau style)
The lamp is adorned with a very rare opalescent glass tulip in orange and black tones by master glassmaker André Delatte
Estimated period of creation: 1921/1933

André Delatte (1887-1953) trained with the FRÈRES MULLER in Lunéville, with whom he was very close; he also collaborated with LEGRAS.
He created his own company in Jarville-la-Malgrange in 1921.
Facing growing success, he expanded his business to Jarville and Nancy as well.
The economic crisis of the 1930s weakened the company, which closed its various production sites between 1933 and 1938.
Today, André Delatte is a renowned glassmaker with worldwide recognition and is regarded as one of the major players in the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco.

Weight of the tulip (glass lampshade): 276 g
Height of the tulip: 14.5 cm
Diameter at the neck: 5.6 cm
Diameter at the opening: 11.6 cm

The tulip is generally in good condition but has a small chip at the neck and also an enamel crack (loss of paint) near the neck
Apart from these two defects that are not visible when the tulip is mounted on the lamp, the tulip is in very good condition

Weight of the lamp base: 1831 g
Maximum height of the lamp: 52 cm
Maximum width of the lamp: 29 cm
The base measures 19 cm in diameter

The electrical cord measures 134 cm
The wiring has been redone; it operates with an E14 screw-base bulb provided with the lamp.

This antique lamp works perfectly, you simply need to plug it in and press the switch to illuminate your room with a century of history every day!
