Set of 2 mid‑century modern Eames shell chairs designed by Charles & Ray Eames and manufactured by Vitra in Europe, first edition with wheels, featuring a stainless steel base and plastic shell, made in Switzerland, 89 cm high, 46 cm wide, 55 cm deep, seat height about 49 cm, each weighs 10 kg and is in good used condition.

Set of 2 Office / Task Chairs in one of the 20th centurys most famous designs. This is one of the top worldwide design assets.!
Designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1948, and produced by Herman Miller, from United States.
In 1957 the Swiss design company "Vitra" signed the rights to produce this chair in Europe, and as they got great succes.
These chairs is the first-ever production model with wheels, wich is why it doesnt have adjustable seat height. Ca. 2006-2008
*these chairs are used, and comes from a work enviroment, the plastic is totally intact, and cleaned, is as new, the wheels chair base has significant signs of use, after nearly 20 years.
This high quality chairs still tolls smoothly, and the steel part is solid, with some work, it can be like mint. RPP from new 750e.
*i have to separate the seat from the base for shipping, this is just 4 on each chair.

Charles and Ray Eames were a design couple whose personal and professional collaboration lead to the creation of some of the 20th century’s most recognised furniture and accessories.
They designed this shell chair in 1948.
In 1953, the founders of the Swiss company VITRA, the couple Erika and Willi Fehlbaum, saw the Eames chair in a shop window, on a trip to United Stated in 1953. They were so enthusiastic about it so they contacted Herman Miller. And in 1957, VITRA signed an official agreement with Herman Miller.
This granted Vitra the exclusive rights to manufacture and sell Eames designs in Europe and the Middle East
In the late 1980s, Ray Eames and Herman Miller, had some concerns about the long term effects of fiberglass in the environment. They decided to stop production of this chair.
In 2004, the Eames Side Chair were brought back to life when they were reintroduced in a 100% recyclable polypropylene.
These chairs are dissambled and packed neatly.
Will come in one big package of +20kg
