This exclusive collector coin represents a technical and artistic breakthrough in modern coin minting. The issue combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative technology through the advanced Lifted Engraving technology, where a part of the motif is literally lifted from the coin's surface to create an impressive three-dimensional effect.
At its center is the powerful howling wolf, which is not a separately applied element but is created directly from a single blank of 99.99% pure silver. Through a specially designed minting technique, parts of the coin's surface are cut and bent upwards, separating the central relief of the motif from the rest of the design and creating a raised foreground layer.
Each coin undergoes an extensive and carefully controlled production process where several steps are combined to achieve the characteristic Lifted Engraving effect. The result is an issue where engineering, engraving craftsmanship, and innovation meet in a unique collector's item.
The technique is particularly exclusive as it is based on a relatively small mintage. Only 2,500 copies are available worldwide. For comparison, the dated prototype from 2020 had a mintage of only 425 copies, which further emphasizes how limited and unusual this technique is.
The issue is produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, one of the world's most renowned mints, and comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
