Magnificent Reuge music box, made in Sainte-Croix (Switzerland), renowned for the excellence of its mechanical movements.
This model is equipped with a prestigious Reuge 72-tine movement, playing in succession three works by Frédéric Chopin:
Polonaise (Till the End of Time)
Tristesse
Impromptu
The mechanism is visible under a glass cover, allowing the cylinder and the 72-tine comb to be admired during operation.
The case is crafted from finely veneered burl wood, with an elegant marquetry on the lid. The flowing lines of the cabinet highlight Reuge's craftsmanship and make it a decorative piece as much as a collectible musical instrument.
