Italian origin, model S.Leucio, damask silk bedspread in gold, 270 cm by 230 cm, dated 1940–1950, in like-new condition and never used.
Description from the seller
Wonderful baroque-style bedspread finely crafted in damask silk, gold color, signed S.Leucio. Decorated with flowers. In perfect vintage condition. A real piece of history, never used in the original box damaged at the edges. It was part of an antique wedding trousseau, datable around the mid-20th century.
San Leucio: The Royal Silk: In the 18th century, the Bourbon rulers (especially Ferdinand IV) established an excellent silk manufactory there. Its precious fabrics—as damasks, brocades, and lampas—have clothed European courts, adorned the Vatican, and even the White House.
It could also be reused as fabric for upholstery; it is a light silk, very smooth and delicate to the touch.
Dimensions: height 230 cm (90.5"), width 270 cm (106.2"), approximate.
Shipping: 3-5 days, tracked.
