Plexiglass magazine rack with tortoiseshell effect and brass, attributed to Marc Ducaroy by Roche Bobois, France, 1970s, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Turtle-shell effect plexiglass and brass magazine rack – France, 1970s. Recently polished
Elegant French magazine rack from the 1970s, made of plexiglass with a rich tortoiseshell effect, in deep shades of brown, mahogany and amber, enhanced by the transparency and natural variations of the material. Attributed to Marc Ducaroy by Roche Bobois
Its geometric construction, with sober architectural lines, is highlighted by fine golden-brass rods, adding a warm and sophisticated touch to the piece. The rear section features a wide rectangular opening serving as a handle, also allowing easy movement of the piece.
A fine example of 1970s French design, particularly decorative thanks to the contrast between the tortoiseshell plexiglass and the gold metal. A piece that fits just as well in a contemporary interior as in mid-century or vintage decor.
Era: 1970s
Origin: France
Materials: tortoiseshell-effect plexiglass and brass
Condition: very good vintage condition, small chip with a few light marks but the piece has been polished.
