Red Panda Bead Talisman, rock crystal, Ancient Burmese Pyu States culture, dating to the First Millennium AD, in good condition with ancient, hand-made holes; height 40 mm, width 26 mm, depth 28 mm, authentic original, acquired in 1975 in Yangon from the private collection of Dr. István Zelnik.
Description from the seller
A rock crystal red panda bead talisman from the ancient Burmese,Pyu States culture, first millenium AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned in a tumbler and repolished, so its surface is shiny and smooth, but the nice antique patina is preserved.
Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, boring and grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased 1975 in Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
