Description:
Exceptional set of 9 antique glazed earthenware tiles with hand-painted blue and multicolored floral decoration (yellow, green, manganese) in bold fire blue glaze. This lot features a fine variety of classic 17th- and 18th-century ceramic motifs, including flowering vases (tulips, carnations), a polychrome flowering stem, and a central geometric motif with arabesques.
The corner pieces vary by series (stylized lilies, ox-heads / ossekoppenn and arabesques), indicating artisanal production of the period. The backs show pinkish to chalky earthenware with presence of pinholes and traces of original mortar.
