It is a Christ Salvator Mundi (Savior of the World) entirely executed by needle.

The figure raises the right hand to bless (index and middle fingers pointed upward) and holds a cross in the left hand, visual codes typical of the Salvator Mundi.
Embroidery technique:
Unlike many period pieces where the face and hands were painted on silk or paper, this face is entirely embroidered with split stitch or painter's stitch (passé empiétant).
The careful orientation of the threads follows the contours of the face, the texture of the curls, and the nuances of the flesh tones, demonstrating a very high level of manual skill.
There are a few small holes in the wood.
