Exceptional Mosasaurus fossil jaw, a gigantic marine reptile predator that dominated the Maastrichtian seas. The piece preserves an impressive series of more than 15 original conical teeth, well set in their sockets, showing the characteristic dental pattern of the genus: smooth crowns, slightly recurved, ideal for catching slippery prey such as fish and cephalopods.
The dental morphology (teeth slender, only weakly keeled and very closely spaced) is consistent with Mosasaurus beaugei, the mosasaur species most frequently found in the phosphates of the Oulad Abdoun Basin.
