The Olympus PEN EES-2, released in 1968, is a half-frame 35mm camera that exposes two 18x24mm images on each frame of standard film, doubling the number of shots per roll. It uses a fixed D.Zuiko 30mm f/2.8 lens with simple zone focusing and a battery-free selenium light meter that drives fully automatic exposure. A red flag in the viewfinder warns the user when there is too little light and prevents the shutter from firing.
