Very beautiful and decorative pedestal / plant stand.
The pedestal is 101 cm tall and the top/dia is 21 cm.
The base has a diameter of about 27 cm.
The weight is about 3.5 kg.
The pedestal probably dates from the 1960s or 1970s of the last century, but could be a little older.
Very beautiful (and luxurious) is the lovely twisted trunk.
The pedestal was probably stained in the past and at some point in its life has been Sanded to the bare wood.
This wood has been treated with a medium-dark wax polish. The wood therefore has a very beautiful and natural shine.
There are hardly any signs of use visible. Only here and there are a few spots where the old stain is visible, but this is not disturbing (see photos).
The pedestal seems to be made of oak. In the photos the twisted trunk appears to get thinner from top to bottom, but that is an optical illusion caused by the camera angle; the trunk in the twisted section is evenly thick throughout.
The pedestal can be used in several ways. It can serve as a plant stand, where it is very nice to place a large plant with trailing greenery on it. Due to the height of the furniture, such a plant really comes into its own.
You can also place a piece of art on the pedestal (see photos). A sculpture or a vase is particularly well presented on this lovely pedestal.
The pedestal is carefully packed and insured for shipping.
