The logo (W, Compass, A): The compass or open central divider flanked by the letters is the distinctive emblem of William Adams' registered brand. The individual letters correspond to the initials of his signature (W & A).
E.P.N.S: These are the English initials for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver (Nickel-Silver). This confirms that the base of the piece is an alloy of nickel, copper and zinc coated with a genuine, thin layer of purified silver.
