TRICERATOPS HORRIDUS – FOSSIL TOOTH
For sale: an authentic fossil tooth of Triceratops horridus, one of the best-known horned dinosaurs from the Late Cretaceous of North America.
Triceratops horridus was a large herbivorous ceratopsian that lived during the last few million years of the Cretaceous. With its enormous skull, three horns, and large bony frill, it was one of the most recognizable dinosaurs from the Hell Creek ecosystems.

* Locality: Powder River County, Montana, USA
* Period: Late Cretaceous
* Age: approximately 66–68 million years
The specimen shows the characteristic robust build of a Triceratops tooth, with clearly visible fossilized structure and natural dark mineralization. The sturdy shape and wear features fit the specialized dental elements with which Triceratops processed plant matter.
Triceratops possessed a so-called dental battery, where multiple rows of teeth were present and continuously new teeth formed to replace worn specimens.

The fossil tooth is supplied with the professional information card, as visible in the photos. It lists the scientific name, geological period, formation and locality.
