This is a beautiful image of Guanyin (觀音) - also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit - the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Identifying features:
Royal relaxed pose (lalitasana/royal ease) - one leg bent, the other hanging down
Rich jewelry and ornaments
necklaces, bracelets, crown with Amitabha figure on top
Elegant, flowing robes with fine details and decorative patterns
Serene, compassionate facial expression
Two-tone finish
gold-colored body with dark accents on her and on details
Hand gestures:
Right hand: resting casually on the raised knee (varada mudra variant)
Left hand: resting on the seat
Symbolism: Guanyin is the most beloved bodhisattva in East Asia and symbolizes:
Unconditional compassion and mercy
Protection of all who call upon her name
Fertility and blessing of children (especially in Chinese tradition)
