Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation, and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with deep artistic sensitivity.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works subtly and visually powerfully address themes such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres.

This work is a powerful and dark meditation on redemption and existential harm, using the mask of one of cinema’s most emblematic villains. The artist transforms the iconic dark helmet into a fractured and revered surface, directly applying the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi (金継ぎ).
The armor, traditionally conceived as invulnerable and impenetrable, is here revealed as a broken shell that barely contains internal strength and trauma. A network of intense golden cracks bursts through the mask’s glossy black and the cloak, suggesting that the character is literally sustained by his own scars. The gold not only seals the cracks but also illuminates the vast history of pain, conflict, and destruction that defines the character.

The figure stands as a monument to tragedy.
