Description from the seller
Vintage ERRES Lightbox Advertising Sign – “Het plezier van zekerheid”
Rare and highly decorative original ERRES illuminated advertising display, dating from the 1970s and produced during the period when ERRES was part of the Philips brand portfolio.
The thick engraved acrylic panel features the iconic Dutch slogan “Het plezier van zekerheid” (“The pleasure of certainty”), with distinctive green graphic lines. When switched on, the engraved lettering and green details illuminate beautifully from the metal base.
ERRES was a famous Dutch electronics brand, originally associated with R.S. Stokvis & Zonen. Philips took over the company in 1966 and subsequently incorporated the ERRES activities into its portfolio. The ERRES name remained in use for a few years as a secondary Philips brand.
