A mid-century modern floor lamp with a white opal glass globe diffuser, a chrome-plated metal stem and circular base, 153 cm high with a 30 cm shade diameter and 26 cm base diameter, Italian origin, in excellent vintage condition with light signs of wear and fully functional.
Description from the seller
No reserve
Refined floor lamp (piantana) from the era dating to the 1970s, a perfect example of Italian and European design from the Space Age era. The piece stands out for the combination of the gleaming structure and the soft diffusion of light, strongly recalling the stylistic language of famous manufacturers of the era such as Harvey Guzzini, Targetti Sankey and Reggiani.
Features and Construction Details:
Diffuser: White opal glass sphere/globe of fine quality (not acrylic/plastic). The glass is intact and provides even, warm, glare-free light diffusion.
Structure: Slender stem and circular chromed steel base. Under the globe is the classic cup-shaped support finished with ventilation holes for heat dissipation.
Electrical System: Fully functional (as shown in the photos with the bulb lit). Equipped with the original cord and a practical foot switch.
Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. Shows only light and physiological signs of wear and patina on the chrome finish of the base and stem, which attest to its authenticity and age (refer to the detailed photos). No structural defects or cracks in the glass.
Dimensions:
Total height: 153 cm
Shade diameter/depth: 30 cm
Base diameter: 26 cm
Shipping and Packaging:
For this lot, maximum-security packaging is guaranteed. The lamp will be partially disassembled (the glass shade and the stem will be protected separately) using ample bubble wrap and reinforced high-thickness boxes to prevent any risk of breakage during transport. Fast, tracked, and insured shipping.
