Antique Monumental Console from a Palazzo in Carved and Gilded Wood from the 19th Century
Important palace console from the 19th century, crafted in fine carved precious wood and enhanced by a rich gold leaf finish. The piece stands out for its monumental dimensions and for the exceptional quality of the carving, executed with great artisanal skill.
The structure is supported by four imposing full-relief sculpted female figures, reminiscent of busts of harpies or allegorical figures in a Mannerist and Baroque taste, characterized by a youthful face, female bust, and a body that develops into elegant vegetal volutes.
