Fantastic handmade bedspread in "filet" needlework. The term "filet", of French origin, evokes its unmistakable netting technique, a delicate, precious and ancient craft; the filet tells a story of patience, mastery and timeless beauty. Each interweaving preserves a fragment of memory. This type of bedspread was commissioned for important household linen ensembles; its creation required more than a year of work. The photos do not fully convey the beauty and exclusive elegance of the bedspread. Dimensions: 260 x 220 cm. Never used. Being an antique fabric, it bears the normal signs of time; a small brownish stain or two, which will come out with a wash, does not diminish its beauty or usability (see the last photo).
