Sansui - AU-α607MR Solid state integrated amplifier

This SANSUI AU-α607MR caught my eye with its champagne-gold brushed faceplate, weighty metal knobs, and wonderfully serious Japanese Hi-Fi presence. It has the sort of solid look that makes you imagine a favorite record playing late at night. A handsome amplifier that naturally draws attention at auction.

[Appearance]

This is a vintage SANSUI AU-α607MR integrated amplifier with a beautifully finished champagne-gold front panel and substantial control knobs.

There are some signs of age and use, including light scratches, small marks, and minor wear visible on the cabinet and front panel. However, the overall presentation remains attractive, and the brushed-metal finish still has a pleasing, refined character. The controls and lettering also retain the purposeful look that makes Sansui amplifiers of this period so enjoyable to collect.

We connected the unit to a CD input and confirmed audio output from Speaker A.
There is a slight crackling sound when adjusting the volume.
All knobs are functioning properly.
