Lineol e.a. - 5 German military figures - soldiers and musician with tuba - composition - ca. 1935–1960

Lot of 5 vintage German military figures, including early pre-war Lineol composition figures from circa 1935–1940.
On one of the figures the name LINEOL is clearly visible in relief on the bottom of the plinth. Other old examples show the same characteristic finish with a heavy rectangular plinth and hand-painted composition mass.
The lot consists of several military figures, including marching soldiers and a particularly attractive military musician with a large gold-colored tuba. This musician visually forms the most striking specimen of the group.
The two remaining figures differ in execution and plinth and are presumably from a different and/or later German production. For this reason they are cautiously not attributed to Lineol.
The older Lineol figures belong to the classic type of German 7.5 cm military composition figures that were produced mainly in the 1930s.
Condition: used collection state appropriate to age. Local paint loss, wear, discoloration and other normal signs of aging. No restorations by the current owner. The undersides and construction of the plinths have also been photographed extensively.
