An elegant antique garment or clothes brush, featuring a richly decorated silver-mounted top and preserved in its original fitted presentation case.

The upper section of the brush is embellished with an attractive embossed and chased decoration comprising scrolls, floral motifs and shell-like ornaments, arranged around a plain central cartouche. The decorative metal section is silver, giving the piece a refined and highly ornamental appearance.

The brush retains its dense, light-coloured bristles and is accompanied by its original fitted case, with a dark textured exterior, brass-coloured clasps and a cream satin-lined interior shaped specifically to accommodate the brush.

The original case is particularly attractive and adds considerably to the charm and collectable character of the piece.

Condition: Good antique condition, with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The silver displays natural patina, oxidation and minor surface wear. The bristles show some signs of use and age. The original case also presents age-related wear, particularly to the exterior, as visible in the photographs.
