Description from the seller

James Dixon & Sons – Silver-Plated Three-Section Serving Dish – Sheffield, England

Elegant vintage three-section serving dish by James Dixon & Sons, the renowned Sheffield manufacturer of silverware and metalware.

The underside bears the maker’s marks, including James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, EPNS, Prince’s Plate, London & Sheffield, together with the model/reference number W13585.

The piece is made in silver-plated nickel silver (EPNS) and features an attractive three-lobed design with scalloped edges. The three individual compartments make it suitable for serving nuts, sweets, condiments or hors d’oeuvres.

A particularly attractive feature is the ornate central handle, decorated with elegant scrolling foliate motifs, giving the piece a refined and distinctly traditional English appearance.

The dish shows normal signs of age and previous use, including surface scratches, patina and some wear to the silver plating, particularly visible on the underside. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
