Description from the seller
Antique Silver Napkin Ring — Horse and Cart Decoration
An unusual antique silver napkin ring, of broad shaped form, finely decorated in relief with a charming pastoral scene depicting a horse pulling a cart filled with flowers.
The central scene is framed by an elegant border of raised floral and foliate motifs, with further ornamental decoration extending around the sides. The textured background and naturally developed patina create an attractive contrast, highlighting the finely worked details of the composition.
A particularly decorative and appealing piece, distinguished by its unusual rural subject and detailed repoussé and chased workmanship. The interior has a warm golden finish, apparently silver-gilt (vermeil).

Interior: Gilt
Period: Late 19th / early 20th century, circa 1890–1920
