Yan Morvan; Récit de Kizo - Gangs Story - 2012

Yan Morvan is a war reporter who has covered numerous conflicts. For almost 30 years, during his periods in France, he documents bands, gangs, French factions of all sides and from all regions.

Gangs Story is therefore a plunge into the world of these indoctrinated youths, of these characters often committed to political extremes, who profess positions often indefensible, or sometimes simply exist in reaction to other groups.
A very interesting documentary on the functioning and realities of a certain fringe of French society whose existence is known without ever (or rarely) having approached it or even seen it; but Yan Morvan has managed to dive into the heart of these groups!

A imposing and important book, about which there was a lot of talk around spring and summer 2013 because of the lawsuit filed (and won) by one of the photographed individuals. Following this trial and the ruling, a sticker was affixed to this person's face.

The book is divided into 4 chapters accompanied by an introductory text, and each image is described and commented on at the end of the work.

The narrative accompanying the images is by Kizo, former member of the "Mafia Z" of La Grande Borne in Grigny who participated for many years in conflicts with other neighboring neighborhoods, but who is now involved in violence prevention.
