Cartel clock - Wood - 1800-1850

This clock is a table clock (or mantel cartel) in the Louis XV style, most often produced during the Second Empire (the Napoléon III era, in the second half of the 19th century). It features Boulle-type marquetry on a background of green-dyed horn (or tortoiseshell) inlaid with brass scrollwork, adorned with rocaille bronzes.
