Beautiful Vintage Congolese Carved Wood Relief Panel (50 cm) – Handmade African Art
For sale: a characterful, hand-carved wooden relief panel from Congo (Africa). This authentic piece of vintage wall decor dates from the second half of the 20th century (approx. 1950s - 1960s) and is in a beautiful, aged vintage condition.
The panel features a stunning, stylized scene of daily life with two figures carved in deep relief. It was originally brought back directly from Congo to Europe by a missionary nun ("tante non"), giving this piece a special and authentic provenance.
Perfect for collectors of African folk art, missionary art, or as a unique eye-catcher in a modern, bohemian, or mid-century interior.
