Antique Anthropomorphic Mug / Pitcher "Knight" in Ceramic - Falcon Ware (England, mid-20th century)
Refined anthropomorphic mug/jug in English ceramic dating from the era (so-called Character/Tobey Jug), produced in the mid-20th century by the renowned Falcon Ware manufactory.
The object depicts in relief the bust and the smiling face of a knight (Cavalier) wearing a wide-brimmed hat that forms the spout, a frilled collar, and a molded handle on the back. The ceramic features a typical glossy glaze in honey-brown and amber tones, with dark shading that highlights the anatomical details and facial expressions.
On the bottom there is the original factory mark impressed/hand-painted: "Falcon Ware - Made in England - 'Cavalier'" together with the model number.
