Splendid and elegant antique fireplace surround (triptych) consisting of a portico-style Louis XVI clock and two matching side vases/candelabras. Made in fine white/alabaster-veined marble with bronzed finishes finely worked and gilded with floral motifs, garlands and columns.
The clock dial is white enamel, decorated with delicate hand-painted floral garlands, Arabic numerals and pierced bronze hands. The mechanism at the back bears the original numbering impressed into the metal. Under the base there is an antique stamp bearing the inscription "FIRENZE".
