For sale: Piaggio Ciao P FL (model C7E4T) from 01/07/1989, original red color, in splendid preserved condition.

Condition and History: Very lightly used (only in the summer period 1989-1999) and always kept in a garage. Tank emptied and run periodically. Ready to ride.

Documents: Original green booklet from the era (Technical Viability Certificate) + Original User and Maintenance booklet.

Having the original Technical Viability Certificate (the classic green booklet) saves you a trip to the Motor Vehicle Office (Motorizzazione) for inspection and guarantees you keep the original historic document (which will normally be returned, voided or cut at the corner, to preserve it as a collectible).

How to proceed for the new license plate and the registration book

You no longer have to bring the Piaggio Ciao to the Motorizzazione. The procedure is purely administrative and consists of registering the vehicle for circulation (issuing a 6-digit plate and a new Registration Certificate).

Where to go: You can do it directly at the Motorizzazione desk (booking access) or at any Auto Documentation Agency / ACI Delegation (with additional handling fees, but immediate processing).

Documents required:
- Original green booklet (in perfect condition or at least legible).
- Identity document and tax code of the owner.
- TT2118 form completed (provided at the desk or issued by the agency).
- PagoPA payment receipt for the registration fees for the moped and for the cost of the new plate (if handling the procedure yourself at the Motorizzazione).

What happens at the inspection and revisions

No preliminary inspection: the vehicle does not need to be shown to the Motorizzazione for circulation.

First periodic inspection: Once you collect the new plate and new Registration Certificate, you will need to undergo the classic biennial inspection at any authorized private inspection center before you can circulate on the road.

There is no need for the classic bureaucratic ownership transfer.

Mopeds with the old green booklet are not registered in the PRA (Public Automobile Registry) and the original document does not report the owner's details; it is tied exclusively to the vehicle’s chassis number.

Private signature: The sale completes with the delivery of the moped, the original green booklet, and the agreed payment. It is advisable to draft a simple private sale agreement between private individuals (with date, seller and buyer details, chassis number, and signatures) to protect both parties from the date the responsibility starts.

In the simple receipt/private agreement you sign, you can specify: "Vehicle sold as is, with mounted Giannelli Fire vintage exhaust and original exhaust provided as included." This frees you from any future liability related to road use.

What the buyer must do to be able to circulate

The buyer must go to the Civil Motorization Office or to a private auto documentation agency with the original green booklet to re-register in their name, obtaining the new 6-character rectangular plate and the modern circulation certificate.

Note for collectors: specifically request the Motorization Office to preserve the original green booklet (it will be voided with a stamp or punch).
