Description
Beautiful Aluminor counterbalanced desk lamp, designed by André Lavigne and dating from the 1960s/70s.
This elegant French lamp features a chrome-plated metal structure, a round burgundy lacquered metal base and a matching lampshade. Its articulated counterbalanced arm allows the position and direction of the light to be easily adjusted.
The combination of burgundy, chrome and black gives the lamp a distinctive look typical of French industrial design from this period.
The lamp is entirely original, including the lampshade, articulated arm, counterweight mechanism, base, wiring and switch.
Condition: very good overall vintage condition.
There are one or two small signs of use on the lampshade, consistent with its age, but no significant damage. The structure, mechanism and finishes are very well preserved.
