Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Plant Stand – The Netherlands 1900-1925
Gorgeous antique plant stand / occasional table, made of oak and originating from the Netherlands. The table features two levels and has a characteristic, handcrafted design. The top surface is slightly flared, while the slender legs, placed outward, are connected by horizontal rails with graceful vertical spindles. The decoratively shaped wooden details under the top give the table a special and refined accent.
The design nicely aligns with the Arts & Crafts style, in which natural materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and an honest, decorative construction are central. The warm oak and the subdued adornments give the table a timeless appearance. The table dates, approximately, to the period 1900–1925.
The plant stand is in good antique used condition, appropriate for its age. The oak wood has a beautiful, warm mid-brown color and an attractive well-used patina. There are natural signs of aging and use present, which contribute to the authentic character of this antique piece of furniture.
