Radha statue - 15,7 cm - Bronze - India - 19th century

A superbly cire perdue cast bronze figure of Radha, measuring circa 15,7cm in height and weighing 706g, standing on a round pedestal and wearing a lotus sash, her hair pulled together in a ponytail under flat headdress, parted in the middle, her right hand in Kataka Mudra holding a lotus bud between thumb and forefinger. The mudra and the statue in its entirety are representations of purity, fertility, beauty and devotion.
Northern India, 19th century.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Minimal wear commensurate with age.
