Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A vintage oak side table from the Netherlands, dating to the 1960–1970 period, with a solid rectangular top on four tall cylindrical legs, wax-finished and in good condition.
Description from the seller
A wonderfully simple Dutch Brutalist farmhouse side table from the 1960s–1970s, made entirely in solid oak.
The design is reduced to its essentials: a substantial rectangular top with softly rounded edges set on four tall, slightly splayed cylindrical legs. The generous height of the legs gives the table a surprisingly elegant silhouette, while the solid construction and visible grain retain the honest, primitive character, associated with vernacular and Brutalist furniture.
Its warm oak surface has developed a beautiful natural patina, with subtle variations in tone and traces of use that give the piece depth and character. Despite its compact scale, it has a strong presence and works particularly well as an accent table, side table or a plant stand in both contemporary and eclectic interiors.
The table is sturdy and stable and has been carefully cleaned and finished with wax for protection, preserving the attractive original character of the wood.
A modest piece with a great deal of warmth and personality.
Dimensions: H 38 × W 27 × L 36 cm
