Description from the seller

Vintage Danish First Aid Kit - Zone-Redningskorpset (Zonen) - ca. 1940s/1950s
rare, beautifully preserved piece of Danish rescue history: an original emergency first aid kit (Nødforbindingskasse) from Zone-Redningskorpset (commonly known as Zonen). Zonen was a prominent independent Danish ambulance, firefighting, and rescue service that operated from 1930 until its merger with Falck in 1963. This kit dates back to the mid-20th century (circa 1940s–1950s) and serves as an excellent artifact of European medical history.
The true highlight of this lot is its remarkably complete internal contents. It features original, unused, paper-wrapped medical supplies featuring the iconic, stylized "Zone" cross emblem and period-correct Danish typography.
Unlike the more common metal tin variants, this specific kit is housed in an authentic, rustic finger-jointed wooden box. The wood retains a wonderful natural patina, showing minimal wear consistent with its age, with strong hinges and structural integrity.
