AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A splendid and authentic pair of Art Deco book supports from the early 20th century (circa 1920–1930). These heavy book supports are a beautiful example of the geometric language of form that is so characteristic of the Art Deco period. The objects are composed of different types of solid natural stone, with an elegant interplay of dark gray and lighter marbled stone. With their semicircular, layered shapes, the supports have a highly architectural and stylish appearance. Thanks to the substantial weight of the solid marble, they are not only highly decorative but also functionally well suited for carrying heavy books on a sideboard, desk, or in the bookcase. A timeless addition to both a classical and a modernist interior.

Condition
In good, original vintage condition with minimal aging and usage marks inherent to the age. The marble has a beautiful, natural sheen. Please view the photos carefully for an accurate impression of the details and the condition; they form an integral part of the description.
