Description from the seller
Elegant Column with Cylindrical Shaft in Marble – Second Half of the 20th Century
Splendid decorative column made entirely of marble, characterized by an extraordinary palette of natural colors ranging from translucent jade green to cream, with intense amber, rust and brown‑golden veining.
The structure consists of three distinct elements that fit together perfectly:
Base with square plinth and circular (torus) molding, classic.
Monoblock cylindrical shaft, which highlights the natural stratification of the stone.
Capitello with square slab and molded profile.
Technical Details
Material: Veined marble
Era: Second half of the 20th century (ca. 1970–1980).
Origin: Italy (handcrafted).
Condition: Very good. The column presents the natural characteristics of the stone (micro‑cracks and passing veins) that attest to its authenticity. Small signs of time and negligible chips at the base and on the edge of the capital are noted, consistent with age and material (see detailed photographic gallery).
Assembly: Disassembled into 3 pieces to facilitate transport. The shaft fits securely into the bases via integrated stone dowels.
