Tablecloth - 165 cm - 165 cm - Double woven

Antique Art Deco round jacquard-woven paisley tablecloth (or large piano shawl), 165 cm in diameter. Characteristic is the detailed, symmetrical paisley motif with a dark star-shaped or crossed center and a dense fringe edge all around. Thanks to the double-weave jacquard technique the cloth is reversible, with the colors on the back appearing in mirror image or opposite tones. They were traditionally used as an atmospheric tablecloth, over a mantelpiece, or as a decorative throw. The cloth is in very nice condition on both sides. (A round variant is rare)
