Wardrobe - Wood - Floral engravings

Antique wooden wardrobe, presumably dating from the late 19th century, characterized by a tall, slender silhouette and intricate decorative work with floral motifs.

The front features a large door with a full-length mirror, framed by the wooden structure. The upper part is enriched by a rich semicircular crown molding carved with floral and vegetal motifs in relief, accompanied by additional floral carvings distributed along the upper band. The decoration continues in the lower part, where there is a wide drawer with floral carvings at the ends and a metal handle.

The door preserves a distinctive metal hardware with a ring. The sides have a panel construction, while the main structure rests on four tall legs with further decorative elements carved at the bottom.

Dimensions: height about 240 cm, width about 100 cm, depth about 50 cm.

Origin: the piece has belonged to the family for several generations and was owned by the current owner’s great-grandmother. The exact dating is not documented.

Conditions: the piece is in generally good condition consistent with its age and use. Normal signs of wear and use are present, including small scratches, abrasions, finish variations and other superficial imperfections visible in the photos. These elements are consistent with the nature and age of the piece.

Restorations and maintenance: in 1990 there was a maintenance intervention with refinishing of the polish. To the current owner’s knowledge there have been no further structural interventions or substantial modifications.

The mirror and the decorative elements are an integral part of the furniture. Please carefully examine all photos, including detail shots and the back, which are an integral part of the condition description.

Due to the considerable size and weight of the piece, moving it requires several people and/or appropriate equipment.
