On the reverse you can see France’s motto “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” surrounding a plump, proud rooster looking to the left, the coin’s face value (20 Francs) and the year of issuance (1914).
On the edge is the legend “DIEU PROTEGE LA FRANCE”.
