Up for auction: an original, unpublished color illustration for a board game about William the Conqueror; acrylics on 250 g cardboard, signed, A4 format 21 x 29.7 cm, by Fabrizio Russo. Possibility of a dedication.
Fabrizio Russo
Born in Milan on August 14, 1970. After finishing art school, he specialized as an illustrator at the Scuola Superiore d’Arte of Castello Sforzesco.
In 1991, he attended the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan, following Enea Riboldi’s lessons, through which he gained confidence with comic techniques.
After some sporadic experiences in the field of illustration, in 1994 he joined Bonelli, debuting on the pages of Zona X. For this title he graphically developed the character Robinson Hart, created by Mignacco, and drew seven episodes until the series ended. After working on Martin Mystère he joined the Dampyr team as a penciller.
Since 2010 he has collaborated with the French publishing house Clair De Lune. And subsequently with the French publisher Petit à Petit.
In 2012 he joined the Zagor staff, and from 2017 he illustrated 3 Tex stories.
In 2021 he began a collaboration with the French publisher Plain Vest publishing 3 books: "The Story of Carlo Acutis", "Le Carmelitane di Compiegne" and "Comtat Venaissin".
