Antique brass microscope by Ludwig Merker, Vienna (circa 1900) Vienna, XVIII. (Vienna 18, Währing).
For sale is a beautiful, historical desk microscope from the renowned Vienna manufacturer Ludwig Merker (Vienna, XVIII.). A true collector’s piece and decorative testament to historical fine mechanics and optics.
Manufacturer: Ludwig Merker, Vienna XVIII (engraved on the tube)
Design: Classic setup with a heavy, black-lacquered horseshoe foot made of cast iron and elements of polished brass
Equipment: Rotatable objective revolver with lenses, round stage with slide clamp, adjustable substage mirror for illumination
Focusing: Smooth coarse and fine adjustment via side adjustment wheels
Condition: Beautiful, age-appropriate preserved condition with authentic patina (see photos). Please note: The microscope is sold without wooden case and additional accessories.
