Description from the seller

Pair of Large Chinese Porcelain Vases in Verte Green and White-Blue, Mid-20th Century
Description:
Offered is a pair of large Chinese porcelain vases from the mid-20th century, both of notable size, about 42 cm tall. This pair combines two classic styles of Chinese ceramics.
The first vase is decorated in the Verte Green (Famiglia Verde) style, characterized by a pale celadon ground glaze. It features a detailed central scene depicting an ornate floral arrangement with pink flowers, surrounded by auspicious symbols and Chinese calligraphic inscriptions in red and black on the neck. The upper edge is finished with a geometric and floral motif. On the sides there are stylized decorative handles in brown-reddish color.
The second vase is a classic example of blue-and-white porcelain, also on a very pale celadon base. The main decoration depicts a majestic phoenix (Fenghuang) among blooming peonies and leafy branches, rendered in vivid cobalt blue tones under the glaze. The neck is adorned with a large central peony flower and stylized blue decorative handles, similar to Fu dragons or Fu lions.
Condition:
Please examine carefully the numerous detailed photos provided, which are an integral part of the description.
* The Verte Green vase has some chips on the rim edge (as shown in close-up images). There is professional restoration on the lower edge, visible only under UV light (see UV photo).
* The Blue-and-White vase has a star crack on the base, visible to the naked eye and under UV light (see detail and UV photos). There is also a small chip on the lower edge.
* Both vases show signs of wear consistent with age and use, including minor firing flaws such as black spots and glaze irregularities, typical of artisanal production.
Dimensions:
Height (for both): about 42 cm
