Description
A beautiful and complete antique brass (yellow copper) coal samovar (samovar) dating from around 1890 - 1915.
This compact table model (the beloved "glass" or "vase" model) is in good condition and displays splendid historical craftsmanship.
The samovar is fully authentic and still possesses all original, turned wooden handles and lid knobs, which is very rare for an object of this age. The tap knob is crafted with an elegant, openwork cloverleaf motif, typical of the eastern export market around the turn of the century. Inside, the original matte tin layer is still nicely visible, as well as the complete central fire tube including the internal fire grate for charcoal. The tap is currently stuck. Includes drip-catching set, teapot and saucer.

* Period: ca. 1890 - 1915 (Late 19th / early 20th century)
* Material: Brass (yellow copper) with original wooden grips and tin-plated interior
* Height: 35 cm
* Weight: 2500 grams samovar itself excluding the teapot, cup and saucer
* Model: Classic cylindrical vase-model on a square base
