A beautiful and harmonious 4-piece collection of handmade blown Italian art glass, originating from the renowned glassworks Vetrerie Ballarin on the island of Murano, Italy.
All four objects are crafted according to the intricate Venetian filigrana technique, characterized by alternating bands of deep cobalt blue glass and extremely detailed, white-leaded zanfirico / merletto network canes.
The lot comprises a generous centerpiece bowl, an organically shaped leaf-form dish, a graceful wavy bowl, and a coupe on a stem.
The coupe on a stem is further distinguished by the refined inclusion of gold powder (avventurina) in the twisted stem and the spiral foot.
Two of the bowls still bear the original brand paper from Vetrerie Ballarin with the iconic Venetian lion, which guarantees authenticity and provenance.
3 Items (Large bowl, leaf-form dish & wavy bowl): In excellent, pristine condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The glass has a beautiful luster.
1 Item (Coupe on stem): Has undergone an old restoration. The stem was previously broken and re-glued. The fracture line is visible at the stem segment, but the union is firm and the object stands upright. Full transparency about this damage is included in the offer.
