Towel (3) - 127 cm - 67 cm - Ancient trousseaus

These beautiful towels come from an ancient and precious bridal trousseau.
They were handmade and hand-embroidered at home by the fiancées-to-be of the last century.
In pure linen.
One has cutwork embroidery and fringe with handmade lace and fringes.
Two with openwork hem lines in crossed bars.
All hand-embroidered.
Fringes pulled from the fabric and hand-braided into macrame.
Never used.
Still pristine.
A few age spots in the fold that disappear with washing.
