Description from the seller
Nice lot of four vintage Japanese kitchen knives, each with its own form, appearance, and application. An interesting and varied collection for enthusiasts of Japanese kitchen knives, collectors, or hobby cooks who can appreciate knives with character.
The lot consists of a 29 cm santoku, a 28 cm santoku, a small deba of 22 cm and a ko yanagiba of 25 cm (overall lengths). Together they form a versatile set for a range of cutting tasks in the kitchen, from vegetables and meat to finer slicing tasks.
The knives are made in different styles, with both traditional wooden handles and riveted handles. Several blades bear Japanese markings or inscriptions, which add extra charm and authenticity to the lot. One of the knives is also marked D.P. Stainless Steel.
The knives are in used vintage condition and show normal signs of wear, such as scratches, wear, and discoloration/patina on the blades, appropriate to their age and use. It is this well-worn look that gives this lot a lot of character.
An attractive lot for those who love vintage Japanese kitchenware and are looking for a nice combination of decorative and usable Japanese kitchen knives. Sold as a complete four-piece lot.
