Travel/ Jewelry Case in Leather and Brass – Red Velvet Interior – circa 1900

Old travel case or jewelry box dating likely from the late 19th century or the very early 20th century, around 1890-1910.

Rigid structure entirely covered in brown leather, equipped with a hinged top handle and a front lock. The four corners of the lid are protected by handsome gilded metal fittings, probably brass, adorned with a raised vegetal design.

The interior opens in two parts and retains an elegant red velvet upholstery, with several loops to hold the accessories.

The original accessories are no longer present.

Authentic vintage condition: significant patina on the leather, scuffs, scratches and surface losses, as well as wear to the interior fabric. These marks are consistent with the age of the case and are clearly visible in the photographs.
