Important collection album comprising around 290 postcards, photographic cards, images and vintage old and vintage chromos.
A highly varied set assembled over time and kept in its original album, offering a true ensemble to explore for the collector, philatelist or specialized dealer.
The collection includes notably:
- old black-and-white and color postcards;
- illustrated cards and fantasy cards;
- antique photographic cards;
- views of towns, villages, monuments and landscapes;
- maritime subjects and ships;
- scenes of life and people;
- religiously themed cards and images;
- chromos and cut-out images, including a large particularly decorative religious composition;
- cards from France and various European countries;
- a Netherlands-focused set with several old views;
- Egypt: pyramids, monuments, antiquities and tourist scenes;
- Spain;
- United States, notably Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon;
- as well as various other places and subjects.
The pieces cover different periods, from ancient documents to more recent tourist cards. Some bear inscriptions, correspondence or other elements on the back that may interest collectors.
The album itself is old and shows normal signs of age and use. The cards are in varying conditions given their age: some very well preserved, others may show wear, small marks, stains, creases or other defects.
About 290 pieces in total (allowing for one piece). The lot is sold as presented in the numerous photographs, which are an integral part of the description and allow detailed examination of content, subjects and overall condition.
I have deliberately not separated the collection: the album is offered complete, with the entire contents.
